EAST DEVON: Village crime remains low

RURAL crime across East Devon villages remained low during September.

One crime was reported in Axmouth, compared to two in August and two in September 2010. This was a theft of a rucksack from a blue Peugeot 206, which was left at Steps Lane.

In Branscombe three crimes were reported - the same figure as in August and September 2010. These included theft from a blue Renault Kangoo van and a domestic assault.

In Farway, Northleigh, Rousdon and Combpyne and Southleigh there were no crimes reported during September.
