CHARD: Hotel fundraisers extend their help By Marion Draper
THE ENTERTAINMENT staff at the Cricket St Thomas Hotel surpassed themselves with their charitable fundraising efforts during the festive season, resulting in a total of £3,571 which they handed over at a special presentation on Tuesday.

AFTER discussing the costings at the Guildhall, Chard Town Council has resolved to amend the discounts applicable to in the Mayor’s Parlour and Town Hall to the same at those of the auditorium hire.

CHARD artist Shena Bulcock has lived in the town for 40 years and despite being successful with her work and exhibiting many times with other artists, she has her first solo exhibition this month at the Gallery Café Bar and Bistro in Holyrood Street.

ONCE more MP David Laws is on the attack over bus service cuts proposed by Somerset County Council, warning that service reductions will leave residents in the village of Winsham “isolated from the rest of the community”.
