HAWKCHURCH: New wine tasting club at Hawkchurch hotel

THE Fairwater Head Hotel in Hawkchurch will be hosting a series of wine tasting events over the next few months.

The first event was held yesterday (Thursday) but more are scheduled for the coming weeks, with wines available to taste from specific countries along with food dishes from each country.

Hotel proprietor Adam Southwell said: “The wine club won’t be at all pretentious. In fact, it will be a relaxed event where people can come and go as they please. It’s not aimed at the wine buffs. It is aimed at everyone who simply enjoys drinking wine.

“We ran a trial tasting a couple of months ago and the feedback was fantastic.

“The plan is to run a different tasting event every few weeks. By making this a free to join wine club we will also be able to make sure everyone gets a personal invite to each tasting.”
