CREWKERNE: Vote of thanks from Henhayes trustees

THE trustees of the Henhayes Centre in Crewkerne have offered a vote of thanks to Waitrose and the people of Crewkerne for a donation of £209 from the supermarket’s Community Matters scheme.

The sum was the centre’s share of a £1,000 monthly payout that the store distributes to local good causes on the basis of a customer “ballot”.

• APOLOGIES for mistakenly reporting in June that the Henhayes Centre received £600 which, in fact, went to the Yeovil Freewheelers group.
