2nd May 2012LYME REGIS: New date set for Candles on the Cobb golf day
THE Candles on the Cobb organising committee had to postpone their charity golf day last week due to bad weather.
The event has now been rescheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 20th at Lyme Regis Golf Club.
Organiser Mike Higgs said: “We were really disappointed to have to postpone this event as a record 141 players had signed up to play in the charity Golf Open together with a fantastic band and barbecue afterwards at the Nag’s Head.
“We would like to thank Ray Farrell, Lyme Regis Golf Club and the Nag’s Head for all their help and continued support. We are however pleased to announce that the full day has been rescheduled and we look forward to seeing everyone on June 20th.”
Mr Farrell and the Candles on the Cobb Committee will be contacting all golf teams in due course to confirm their availability to attend on the revised date and keep the same tee-off times.
All money raised will go towards the spectacular Candles on the Cobb event, due to take place over the weekend of August 24th to 26th, which is raising funds for local youth causes and Help For Heroes. For more details visit www.candlesonthecobb.org
