LYME Regis-based youth music group, B Sharp, will be pumpuing up the volume with a new Marshall Amplifier, given away as part of a competition to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary.
To mark 50 years in business, Marshall Amplification has given away 26 amplifiers through a competition run by national charity, Youth Music, with B Sharp winning a 25-watt bass guitar amplifier.
B Sharp chairman, Ayvin Rogers, said: “This is wonderful and such a good surprise! Winning one of Marshall’s world famous guitar amps will be really useful for B Sharp’s jamming sessions and other workshops where bass guitars are used.
“Marshall has a great reputation for high quality products and we’ll be able to use this for years to come. B Sharp is really pleased to benefit from their generous donations.”
“The Youth Music charity website is a fantastic resource for people and organisations interested in inspiring young people with music.
“Odd little gems like this amp give away crop up every now and then and we are very grateful to Youth Music, not just for useful information and opportunities like this, but also for all the support and funding they’ve given B Sharp in the past four years. Without Youth Music, B Sharp wouldn’t be what it is today.”
