15th March 2012DORCHESTER: James' last radio show to be a marathon event
A 12-hour radio presenting marathon will get underway at the county hospital’s Ridgeway Radio station on Saturday morning (17th).
James Clark will be presenting his last show before starting a training course at Woking College to teach English as a foreign language.
The presenter has worked as a volunteer for the hospital radio service over the last eight years, starting in 2004 when he was still at school.
During his time James has worked on the Saturday late, early evening and morning shows and moved recently to a two-hour Sunday evening show.
He says his proudest achievement was raising nearly £200 for the NSPCC with a 24 hour sponsored broadcast at Christmas in 2004.
“You need to show that you enjoy what you’re doing so patients in the hospital have the chance to share your enthusiasm,” said James.
“My thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome with Ridgeway over the last eight-plus years. I hope that Ridgeway Radio continues its success into the future.”
