CHARD: Care home fire
A FIRE at Sunnymeade Care Home in Chard was caused by an electrical fault in a lamp.
Smoke detectors were activated, alerting Careline who in turn called the fire service. The incident was brought under control within 20 minutes and fire damage was limited to a standard lamp which had shorted, leaving slight smoke and heat damage to the bedroom. Nobody was hurt.
