12th October 2011BRIDPORT: Tea and chat celebrates two years
THE second anniversary of the monthly “Tea and Chat” meeting will be celebrated at the Bridport United Church this weekend.
The free high tea meeting is held on the third Sunday of each month, from 3pm until 4.30pm, in church buildings in and around Bridport.
The Bridport United Church, the Anglican parishes of St Mary’s, Bridport, St Swithun’s, Allington and Holy Trinity, Bradpole together with the Christian Fellowship and the Catholic Church act as hosts for the monthly event on a rota basis except in December and August.
Clipper Teas from Beaminster provide fairtrade tea and coffee for the meetings and transport is provided by volunteer helpers for those persons that are unable to walk to the hall.
The meetings are organised by Churches Together in Bridport and District, but the group insists that it is not a “churchy” gathering.
The second anniversary get together of the “Tea and Chat” group will be held at the Bridport United Church this Sunday, October 16th from 3pm to 4:30pm.
