12th October 2011BRIDPORT: Vote for local projects
CHARITIES and projects in Bridport are appealing for support as they look to land a share of £18,000 being donated to West Dorset by Natwest.
Voting is now open on the Natwest CommunityForce project and the three West Dorset organisations that receive the most votes will each receive £6,000.
The project is a national scheme run by Natwest with a total of £18,000 up for grabs in CommunityForce areas.
Looking for the support of Bridport residents are the Bridport Arts Centre’s “Bridport FM” project, the Bridport Bandits Autograss Racing Club, the Bridport Community Orchard Group, Salway Ash Village Hall, the National Coastwatch Institution at Lyme Bay and the Bridport Gig Rowing Club.
The six projects are up against 42 other charities and organisations based in West Dorset.
The three projects that receive the most votes in West Dorset not only receive £6,000 but support in recruiting local volunteers for their cause.
Voting will close on October 23rd and the winners will be announced in November.
