BRIDPORT: Shoppers stop for coffee

STAFF at Smith and Smith in Bridport raised a record total for Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

The Bridport outfitters have been taking part in the national event for a number of years but this year’s fundraising total of £260 was the most they have ever raised. As well as providing tea and coffee the staff also tempted shoppers with a variety of homemade cakes and a raffle.

Organiser Sue England said: “It went wonderfully well, we were tremendously pleased to raise £260 which is record total for us. We’ve been taking part for eight or nine years now so it’s great.

“We’d also like to thank our suppliers who donated prizes to us for our raffle, we are very grateful.”
