14th September 2011WEST BAY: Tea party success
A TEA party fundraising event at the West Bay Salt House raised £213.50 for Charcot Marie Tooth UK at the weekend.
CMT sufferer Emily Haylock organised the event after getting the fundraising bug earlier this year when she completed a canoe and cycle ride in the Lake District.
As well as tucking into homemade cakes, guests were kept entertained with live music from Emily’s sister Alice on the saxaphone and quizzes.
The quiz winners were Lauren Holder from Sanford, who won a bottle of champagne donated by Bothen Hill Produce and Laura Challis of Bridport who won a hamper.
The money raised will go to CMT UK to fund further research into the condition.
