17th October 2012BRIDPORT: Charity thrilled at shop's reception
THE manager of Bridport’s newest charity shop is hailing the town as “amazing”. Ferne Animal Sanctuary, which cares for animals at a special centre near Chard, opened its second shop in the region, in Bridport’s East Street, in a bid to bring in more revenue.
Manager Jan Phillips is already blown away by the reception the shop has received.
She said: “I’m amazed at the response from people in Bridport. We have had a lot of donations and offers of volunteer help.
“Any stock would be gratefully received at the shop or the sanctuary can collect from people without transport.”
The animal welfare charity plans to open its third shop in Taunton within the next week.
