DORCHESTER: Age UK appeals for volunteers for team
AGE UK Dorchester is appealing for volunteers to join its Information and Advice team to offer help and support to older people and their carers.
The information and advice volunteers interview clients, identify and research information; act on clients’ behalf, and help with letter writing; undertaking diagnosis, providing information with options and identifying action. The charity, which is based at Rowan Cottage in Prince of Wales Road, say the work will suit people who like to identify problems and solutions to meet the needs of older people; those who enjoy volunteering; have time to spare and possess basic computer skills.
