25th July 2012BEAMINSTER: New Active Ageing classes at Bfit in Beaminster
Come and take advantage of the wide range of activities especially designed to suit the aging population at Bfit in Beaminster.
Classes are run by Nicky Sweetland, who has for the past 10 years, lead classes around Dorset aimed at more mature participants. Working in conjunction with the NHS in Dorset, Nicky also runs classes for people following Heart attacks and surgery.
Cardio Clinic is an exercise class designed for people who have had heart problems, those with high blood bressure, diabetes, or for those who are looking for an introduction into exercise.
It follows the British Association of Cardiac rehabilitation Phase IV guidelines and is great for anyone who is unsure about starting back to exercise after health issues. Using the fitness suite, it is a great way to exercise while socialising and building confidence.
The Cardio Clinic classes take place on Thursdays from 11.30am - 12.30pm. The classes cost £3.50 for non-members, and is free for Gold or Silver (Gym) Members.
50+ Keep Fit is an Aerobics based fitness class with elements of both Cardiovascular Fitness and Muscle Toning. This fun, exercise to music class concentrates on fat burning and fitness while toning and gaining stamina.
The 50+ Keep Fit classes take place on Thursdays from 12.30pm - 1.30pm. The classes cost £3.50 for non-members, and is free for Gold or Silver (classes) Members.
