LYME REGIS: North Indian Classical Music at next Sunday’s afternoon concert in the Parish Church

The wide variety of music on offer at the summer Sunday afternoon concerts at Lyme Regis Parish Church has never before included Indian Classical Music.

Next Sunday, July 29th at 3.30pm, there will be a chance to hear this mesmerising music with its fascinating sounds and rhythms. Ricky Romain (sitar) and John Sterckx (tabla) are highly trained and experienced exponents, who have earned high praise nationally for their performances. Their deep understanding and mutual enjoyment of each other’s playing is always apparent. The music will range from extremely slow meditative melodies to fast intricate interplay between the instruments. This will definitely be an event not to be missed.
