DORCHESTER: Celebration of Dorset food and drinkA FREE weekend to celebrate the best of Dorset food and drink is being held at Poundbury in early August. The event will be held on Queen Mother Square, Poundbury of the best of Dorset food, crafts and music over the first weekend in the month.
Organisers are hoping to have more than 50 stalls representing The Best of Dorset. Amongst the attractions will be demonstrations by local chefs including Masterchef winner Mat Follas of The Wild Garlic at Beaminster; Tim Attrill of the Hive Beach Café; Lee Moreton of Dorset Charcuterie and Mark Hammick of The Gaggle of Geese at Buckland Newton on Saturday. On Sunday the line-up features Lisa Osman of Provisio; Brett Sutton of The Eastbury, Sherborne; Matt Smith of Weldmar Hospicecare Trust and Mark Hartstone of La Fosse, Cranborne.
