LOCAL MP Oliver Letwin will host an Auction of Promises in his hometown of Thorncombe on Saturday, June 14th.
The auction will be held at 6pm at Thorncombe Sports and Social Club.
So far pledges include the following: a session on 747 simulator at Heathrow; £500 worth of decorating (labour only); a visit to the House of Commons with afternoon tea; eight hours training in Microsoft Office products; Jurassic Coast joastal jaunt in convertible Morris 1000; a helicopter flight for for three together from near Thorncombe; mackerel fishing boat trip at Lyme Regis with Harry May; sales, marketing and PR consultancy for businesses; guitar tuition; supper club for six in Holditch; one-day taster course at Guy Mallinson’s woodland workshop; a Tai Chi lesson; babysitting; gardening; coarse fishing and breakfast for two at Highway Farm; GCSE or A-Level chemistry tuition.

The auction will coincide with the six-a-side cricket and beer festival, so there will be beers, ciders and a barbeque available.
All proceeds will go to the community-run Thorncombe Shop.
