16th March 2012HONITON: Transition Town Honiton host seedy Saturday
This week (March 12th-18th) is Climate Week and Transition Town Honiton is going to be running an event in Honiton called Seedy Saturday.
The main aim of Transition Town Honiton is to make Honiton a more resilient community against a range of issues including climate change, peak oil and economic downturns. The key idea behind Seedy Saturday is for people to come along and swap their seeds, seedlings and cuttings with other members of the public, plus we are also giving away free packets of seeds. Seedy Saturday is an event which will also include a broad range of attractions and activities including local crafts and charity stalls, plants, books, toys, homemade cakes, Fairtrade tea and coffee, activities for children, raffle and more.
Entry to Seedy Saturday is free and it will be held in the Mackarness Hall, between 10am-12pm on Saturday, March 17th.
