14th March 2012LYME REGIS: Hitting the slopes!
BORMIO in northern Italy was warmed up over half term by the arrival of the annual Woodroffe School Year 10 ski trip.
“The aim of the trip was for students to learn and develop their skiing skills,” said trip organiser and geography teacher, Justin Loveland. “We had help from some fantastic ski instructors and were blessed with fine weather throughout the trip making it a great success.
By day three all the students were making good progress despite the inevitable falls, tumbles and being dragged up backwards by lifts!
Eventually we were all able to ski around the mountain.” Mr Loveland gave special mentions to Jake Williams and Jamie Jeffery for great skiing skills, Pawlu Muscat for showing great confidence, Daisy Day for bravery and Ellie Taylor for persistence.
