LYME REGIS: Lyme traders to appear on ITV series

LYME Regis food retailers, the Town Mill Cheesemonger and the Old Watch House fishmonger, will appear on ITV series “The Hungry Sailors” on Monday, January 23rd.

Cheesemonger Justin Tunstall and fishmonger Simon Bennett were both interviewed in thier shops when Dick Strawbridge and son James visited Lyme and West Bay last year.

The two Lyme traders were then invited on board the Strawbridge’s boat “Amelie Rose”, where they were cooked a special meal including their own produce. They will feature in the sixth episode of the series on ITV on Monday at 4pm. Mr Tunstall (pictured below with the presenters) said: “I’m very much looking forward to seeing the programme - it was shot early last summer and we had great fun with Dick and James discussing and tasting cheese,  then seeing how they got on with cooking in a minute galley.”
