WEYMOUTH: Helping businesses to join the social network revolution

TWO more one hour sessions showing how to get the most from Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn have been announced by West Dorset marketing and ideas company Marketing West.

The extra events will be held at the Heritage Hotel in Chickerell near Weymouth on January 24th at 12.45pm and at Sturminster Newton on the same day at 8.30am in The Exchange.

Nigel Reeve of Marketing West said both events had been encouraged by a waiting list of people keen to attend.

He added: “Up to now social media has often been seen as something only the young understand, but not anymore.

“The reality is that social media offers a set of tools that can help businesses reach more customers. Embracing social media and linking it with a company’s website is now not an option, it's a necessity.

“Our earlier events in November proved to be a great success with more than 75 businesses attending.

“We have had a number of requests to run the seminars again, so we have brought back our two social media experts, Mike Hensman and Martyn Hope, who between them will explain how to use the likes of Twitter and Facebook to help business.

“The key thing is that everything will be in simple plain English that we can all understand!”
