24th November 2011DORCHESTER: All welcome to carol service and nativity
Volunteers from all over Dorset will be attending this year’s St John Ambulance county carol service at St George’s church, Fordington, Dorchester on December 11th.
They will be joined by friends and family and the service will include a nativity by Dorchester Badgers, the charity’s youngest first aiders.
“It promises to be a traditional service with a delightful selection of hymns,” said Alison Glenn of St John Ambulance Dorset.
“There will be a collection which will be divided between us, the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital and St George’s church. We hope that anyone who would like to join us will do so.”
The charity relies on fundraising to help train as many people as possible in first aid. Nobody should die because they needed first aid assistance and didn’t’ receive it.
The service starts at 2.30pm and will be followed by refreshments.
