23rd November 2011LYME REGIS: Hub reaches final in 100,000 competition
THE Hub youth club in Lyme Regis has reached the final of the first Energyshare grant competition and is asking for public votes before the closing date of Saturday, December 3rd.
The club could win £100,000 for solar panels, a new efficient heating system and insulation if it gets the most votes. However, The Hub is up against five other projects in its category, all based in areas with a much larger population than Lyme Regis.
As of Tuesday, The Hub was in third place with 16 per cent of the overall votes, but it needs more if it is to win the cash prize.
Hub fundraiser Ayvin Rogers said they need the community to rally around the project to help the long-term survival of the youth club.
To support The Hub’s bid, visit the website www.energyshare.com/wwwhublymecouk and register and vote before December 3rd.
