View From staff take to the seas

Congratulations to View From Publishing staff who entered this year’s “Bathtub Race” for Lyme Regis’ Lifeboat Week.

The team of six, Fred Thompson, Tom Glover, Mark Taylor, Roxanne Cameron, Zoe and Francesca Evans, took to the waves, battling against 13 other teams in a race to the Cobb, finishing in 6th place.

The crew took only a few days to cobble together their boat after begging, stealing and borrowing what they could to help keep them afloat on the high seas.

Special thanks goes to Stuart King and Terry Churchill for supplying the team with a bath and barrels and to the Thompson brothers for making sure they didn’t sink!

Thanks also goes to View from Publishing Editor and Chief Executive, Philip Evans, and the View from Lyme Regis, for sponsoring the team.

Pick up this week’s View from Lyme Regis and check out Francesca Evans’ Weekly column “Summertime in Lyme” for more the full story and photos.
