HONITON: Photography competition

Photography Competition

ENTRIES are now being taken for a photography competition in Honiton.

The annual competition is run by Honiton Community College with this year’s theme being “Honiton and District – Celebrating its people, locations and community”.

Entries will be judged in the following age categories: Under 13s, 14 to 16, 16 to 18 and Over 18s. There will be a first, second and third prize in each category, along with an overall winner.

All submissions must be the artist’s original work.

Photographs for consideration can be emailed to the college initially, however, entrants should be aware that entries which reach the final judging must be submitted on CD at a resolution suitable for printing at A4 size (greater than five megapixels). The college reserves the right to keep or use all entries for future publications/promotions. The winners must also agree to appear in college and other publications and promotions.

Entries are welcomed from residents of the Honiton Parish Community.

The deadline for entries is January 5th 2012.

The evening prize giving will be on Thursday, January 26th from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Honiton Community College.
