Q How long have you been involved in local football? Who have you played for or managed?
A I’ve played in the Western League since I was16 during which time I’ve played for; Chard Town, Witney Town, Warminster, Frome Town, Paulton Rovers, Gillingham and Wellington.
Q Name the best three players you’ve played with and why?
A Simon Winstone - A strong, whole-hearted player (Paulton Rovers). Tony Pounder - Experienced, quick feet and absolute quality on the ball (Frome Town). Gary Lewis - Always put my crosses in the back of the net! (Warminster Town)
Q What was the best away ground you ever played on?
A Witney Town’s Marriots Stadium.
Q Have any games stuck in your memory?
A Playing for Chard against Frome when I was 17, I set up all four goals in the first-half.
Q How are things progressing at Chard Town FC? what could be improved?
A I think we are in the process of building a team full of youth with the necessary blend of experience to support the youngsters. I think maybe we need to level off that slope!
Q Name some young players we should look out for in the future?
A Liam Cleal is improving with every game and is definitely one for the future, we forget that Sam Clarke is only 21 and Luke Finn, at 16, is showing signs of great potenial with the reserves at present.
