CHARD: Call for cakes

A CALL for cakes has gone out from the organisers of the annual Summer Fair at Forde Abbey which will take place on Thursday, July 28th.

The money raised will again be split between the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution and Marie Curie Cancer Care in Somerset. Every year they run a very popular tea room in the main hall and sell all kinds of cakes. Last year there were around 300 cakes donated and they sold out.

So this year the call is out for event more - if you like baking and would you like to donate for the tea room they will happily take anything from some cupcakes to a gateaux.
