6th June 2011LYME REGIS: He’s Back! Crippen returns to Lyme
‘CRIPPEN' (first seen in Lyme five years ago with Rose Wigmore’s company) is coming to the Marine Theatre.
Director Jenny Wiles has reassembled many of the original cast to bring back to life author Richard Crane’s wacky, comical and touching version of the tale of one of Britain’s most notorious murderers.
Performances run from Wednesday 15th to Saturday, June 18th.
Tickets cost £8, and are available from tourist information centre.
Despite it’s grisly topic ‘Crippen’ is a music hall melodrama full of humour and suitable for all ages. It is produced by the 3QB company, a newly formed of group of local actors raising funds for the Marine Theatre.
PICTURE: Jerry Smith as Dr Crippen and Yvonne Matthews as Ethel Le Neve
