2nd October 2009Police Charity Ball
LOCAL band The Sidekicks are guaranteed to get you dancing at this year’s Bridport Police Charity Ball, which will be held on Saturday, November 28th at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park.
Each year organiser PC Scott McGregor, manages to raise more than a thousand pounds from the event. In the past, this cash has been distributed to local charities in the local area such as children’s nurseries, disabled and day-care drop-in centres, St John’s Ambulance and the RNLI.
The event will feature visual entertainment from Andy Hawthorne and great music from local band, ‘The Sidekicks’.
Local businesses are being asked to get involved by donating items for the raffle, or becoming one of the event’s sponsors.
PC McGregor, Bridport Town Safer Neighbourhood Officer, said: “The money is raised through ticket sales and donations from the community. The local band will guarantee to get you dancing, so come along and have a good night while raising money for charity.”
The Bridge House Hotel will again be providing a free shuttle bus service from Bucky-Doo Square.
To book a table and order tickets (£25 per person), visit Debbie Cobb at Bridport Police Station, or call (01305) 226921.
