23rd July 2009One dead and one injured in motor cycle crashes
A MOTORCYCLIST was killed and another critically injured in two separate accidents in Weymouth over the weekend.
One young biker was announced dead at the scene of his crash which saw his Honda motorcycle collide with a garden wall on Chickerell Road, close to the Admiral Hardy pub at on Sunday, July19th.
An off-duty fireman gave first aid while police and ambulance crews and two response cars, rushed to aid the man, believed to be in his 20s, at approximately 4.45 pm.
The road at the junction of Chickerell Road and Abbotsbury Road was closed as police officers carried out a detailed examination of the scene

In a separate incident a man was rushed to Dorset County Hospital, where he was described as critical but stable following an accident on Saturday, July 18th.
At around 3.15pm police were called to the A35 near the White Horse motor company at Osmington Hill following a report of a crashed Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Two members of the public and an off-duty police officer tried to stem the flow of blood from the 44 year-old man’s leg and administer first aid until ambulance crews arrived at the scene.
