DORCHESTER: Free web advertising for Jurassic businesses

A BRIDPORT businessman is offering to give local high street businesses free exposure on his network of popular tourism sites during the recession.

Julian May, founder of eJurassic feels that local businesses should help each other during this difficult time.

“There is still a recession on, and I think that all the local businesses need to pull together to help each other in any way we can,” said Mr May.

The network of eJurassic websites provides tourist guides to all the main destinations along the Jurassic Coast such as Exmouth.com, LymeRegis.com, Swanage.com as well as all the other main towns of Bridport, Dorchester, Weymouth and Portland.

“We even have sites for villages such as Chideock and Burton Bradstock.

“The portfolio of sites combined receives hundreds of thousands of hits each year, and our research shows that when people visit them it’s because they are already interested in, or are deciding to visit these fantastic Jurassic Coast destinations.

“Knowing what shops, facilities and services are available gives them detailed information of a location in advance and makes their decision to visit a much easier one.

“The tourist season starts soon with Easter and people are already making plans for their summer holidays so we want to make sure people know exactly what the town or village has to offer, and want to ensure every high street business, local service or facility such as clubs, sports clubs or charities is listed.

“There is absolutely no charge, and all people need to do is go to: www.ejurassic.co.uk and send us their information via the contact form.”
