2nd September 2010DORCHESTER: Over 50s hit the airwaves
by Anita Harries
There is an exciting opportunity for the over 50s to learn how to make a radio programme with a tutor from the BBC.
This free training has been organised by national Age UK and Age Concern Dorchester.
There are 15 places available and people must be able to attend both sessions.
The first session is on September 13th, from 10am to 3.30pm at the History Centre in Dorchester, where people will learn how to use the recording equipment and interviewing techniques.
On September 22nd at 1.45pm, a radio programme will be recorded at Age Concern Dorchester with members of the Evergreens social group recalling their memories of going to the pictures. For more information or to book a place, contact Hilary Foggo on 07891 351766 or e-mail forums@acdorchester.org
