BRIDPORT: Bridport Musical Theatre Company to perform 42nd Street

SHOWSTOPPING performers from the Bridport Musical Theatre Company will return to the stage later this month for “42nd Street”.

The company, who have produced three sell-out shows with “The Boyfriend”, “Anything Goes” and “Showstoppers” are now putting the final touches to their latest show.

The show is a celebration of Broadway and the people involved in the shows, a tale of hard work, being in the right place at the right time, talent and love.

Star of the show is the aspiring young chorus girl, Peggy Sawyer who is trying to get her break in the latest Julian Marsh production.

Musical hits include “You’re Getting to be a Habit With Me”, “Dames”, “I Know Now”, “We’re in the Money”, “Lullaby of Broadway”, “Shuffle off to Buffalo” and of course “Forty-Second Street”.

42nd Street runs from Monday, August 30th to Saturday, September 4th at Bridport Arts Centre with performances each evening at 7.30pm and a Saturday matinee performance at 2.30 p.m.

Tickets are now on sale at Bridport Arts Centre priced at £9.50 for adults and £7 for students and under 16’s.
