DORCHESTER: Moving onto big school

Haycorns Pre-school unit ensured their children made the transition to First School in style when they held a special Graduation Day in their garden.

Nineteen children, complete with their very own graduation caps, walked from the classroom to the outside stage, which was bathed in brilliant sunshine.

Each child in turn walked up to the stage to receive their very own record book called “My Learning Journey”, and a small gift from Pre-school Manager Dawn Sparke.

Smiling parents clapped and cheered as the very necessary throwing of hats in the air for the cameras took place.

After the graduation, a picnic was held in the garden.
