DORCHESTER: Fundraiser flies high for county hospital charity

A DEDICATED father has raised £390 for the Childrens’ Services Fund, part of Dorset County Hospital Charity, by doing a sponsored skydive.

Laurence Davis’daughter was only 18-months-old when she was rushed into the Kingfisher Ward at Dorset County Hospital for urgent treatment.

While she was only there for a couple of hours, receiving treatment that returned her back to her healthy self, the Davis family have wanted to help other children and staff on Kingfisher Ward by taking on some fundraising activities for them.

This is when Laurence decided to complete a sponsored skydive.

He took to the skies at Dunkeswell Airfield in East Devon and, with the support of family and friends, has raised a substantial amount for the hospital charity.
