BRIDPORT: Local company celebrates national award

A TOP Bridport roofing company is celebrating national success after picking up a prestigious award for the quality of its work.

O’Brien Roofing and Leadworks Ltd were successful in the 2010 National Federation of Roofing Contractors Annual Awards.

The achievement was based on a full assessment of their work, which used heritage skills often not seen.

The NFRC praised the company for its traditional skills, stating these were “not seen often enough on lead work today”.

The annual Congress also noted the excellent use of probably the greenest and most recyclable building materials used in building today.

Bridport based, O’Brien Roofing commenced trading in 2003 and have rapidly grown since that time.

They now employ a total of 14 staff from their offices on the Gore Cross Business Park.

Daniel O’Brien, MD congratulated his staff on their outstanding achievement, with specific mention of the young apprentices involved in the job.

Daniel Said: “I am particularly proud of this award which recognises the highest standards which we pride ourselves on”.

This success builds on the previous year when the company won a coveted NFRC health and safety award.
