BEAMINSTER: Man hurt in hit and run

POLICE are hunting for a damaged car which caused serious injuries to a man when it was involved in a hit and run incident near Beaminster.

A man required hospital care after receiving serious leg injuries when he was hit by a car on the A3066 Waterpot Hill heading towards Beaminster.

The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday June, 12th when the vehicle, thought to be a dark coloured Volkeswagon, possibly a Golf, collided with the pedestrian. 

The vehicle failed to stop but left fragments of front bumper and a clear light lens at the scene. 

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward with information or who may have seen a vehicle with front end damage or have been approached to repair the same. Contact PC2380 McLean at Bridport Police station on 01305 222222.
