DORCHESTER: Jazz at the museum
Popular local jazz band The Cornertones will perform a free concert at Dorset County Museum on Friday May 28th at 1pm where everyone is welcome.
Mike Corner’s band (Jennie Balstone on tenor sax, Fran Taylor on clarinet, Andy Ellis on bass guitar and Mike Corner on piano) have been together for over 14 years and have performed many times at the museum. This time the concert will include a selection of music from the 20s and 30s including numbers by Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Hoagie Carmichael and George Shearing plus a new song by Mike Corner himself.
