12th May 2010WEYMOUTH: Looking to score a Bullseye!
DOGGIE auditions are to be held to find a canine star to play Bullseye in Weymouth Operatic Society’s forthcoming production of Oliver.
Chairman Patrick Sutton has already cast the villainous Bill Sykes but is still looking for his tough sidekick dog, Bullseye.
Rehearsals are well underway for the much loved musical, but the hunt is now on for the perfect dog to play one of the most famous bull terriers of all time.
So if you own a bull terrier or a similar breed which looks tough but is really a softie then the Society would love to hear from you.
Applicants need to be good with children and adults and should be confident and friendly.
If you think your dog fits the bill and could be a star in the making then the Society urges owners to bring their dog along to auditions at Hope Church, Brewers Quay, Weymouth, on Sunday, May 16th at 3pm.
The popular Charles Dickens story of the boy who asked for more is being told at Weymouth Pavilion from July 20th-24th with evening performances and an extra matinee on Saturday, July 24th. Tickets are on sale now for £12 each or £10 for all seats at the Saturday matinee.
There are no concessions but group discounts are available via the Pavilion box office on 01305-783225 or by buying on line at https://weymouthpavilion.purchase-tickets-online.co.uk/public/ .
Anyone with any queries should contact Judie on 01305-812268 or Patrick on 01305-772313.
