12th May 2010DORCHESTER: Outlook is good for singles
OUTLOOK, a social group for single people over 25, has been around for just over 23 fun filled years.
They meet regularly on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Original Thomas Hardy Pub in Dorchester, starting at 8.30pm.
Members go along to play darts, pool, dominoes or any other games that take their fancy – or just sit and chat.
Hand in hand with these monthly meetings they have a full programme of events with something to suit every taste.
Scrabble, tennis, walking, badminton, skittles and bike rides are just a few of the activities they enjoy as a group.
Many get together to eat out, take trips to the theatre, enjoy outdoor concerts such as those held at the Nothe Fort, or relax over a gentle game of boules followed by a picnic.
Some are a dab hand at trivial pursuit, others prefer playing uno or taking part in a treasure hunt.
And it is not just people from Dorchester who belong to Outlook. They attract members from Weymouth, Portland, Charminster, Crossways, Stratton and Owermoignre to name but a few. And for only £7.80 membership per annum it is great value for money.
If you are interested in learning more about Outlook or would like to become a member – and new people are always very welcome – please contact either Sheila on 01305 854179 or Jan on 01305 267791.
