BRIDPORT: Bridport woman avoids serious injury in accident

A BRIDPORT woman avoided serious injury when the car she was travelling involved in a three-vehicle collision.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the westbound A35 road heading toward the town.

Police have not disclosed if the woman, who was driving a Vauxhall Corsa car, was one of the people who required treatment for whiplash.

A male motorist reported the crash to police at 5:56pm on Wednesday, May 5th on a mobile phone as he passed the accident.

The other cars involved were a red Volkswagon Transporter and a Ford Ka, registered to woman from St Austell.

At 6:30pm the Ford Ka was towed away and by 6:50 the other cars had been recovered.
