DORCHESTER: How do you like them apples?

THE second annual cider competition took place at the Mill House Cider Museum in Owermoigne on Sunday, April 11th.

Budding Cidermakers who used the museum’s antique equipment in the autumn to crush and press their apples had the chance to compare and taste each others homemade ciders.

Museum Manager Penny Whatmoor said: “The 2010 competition went very well.

“We had a larger turnout than last year - and every cider was very drinkable, we were very impressed with the quality of all these Dorset ciders.”

The entrants marked each cider based on the appearance, smell and taste.

A trophy was presented to Dave Eves for the winning cider.
