14th April 2010WEYMOUTH: Local 'Question Time' for political candidates
BUSINESS people and residents will have the opportunity to grill prospective parliamentary candidates on their plans for Weymouth and Portland at a special Question Time style debate.
The 90-minute meeting will give South Dorset residents the chance to hear what the district’s candidates have to say on local and national issues.
The Weymouth & Portland business community is being asked to suggest questions for the five invited candidates: Jim Knight (Labour), Richard Drax (Conservative), Ros Kayes (Liberal Democrat), Mike Hobson (UK Independence Party) and Brian Heatley (Green).
The Weymouth & Portland Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Tourism organised event will begin at 7pm on April 23rd at Weymouth College theatre.
The independent chairman will be Sue Moore, Principal of Weymouth College.
