10th March 2010WEYMOUTH: Walk a mile in their shoes
THERE are just a few days left until the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Weymouth College Mile.
The event will take place at Redlands Community Sports Hub in Weymouth on Sunday, March 21st.
Many local people have already signed up and more are being encouraged to take part.
College sports development officer Ben Heath said: “The Weymouth College Mile is set to be an amazing day.
“It’s fantastic that so many Weymouth and Portland people are gathering together to show their support for Sport Relief 2010, but we want this to be the best Sport Relief event yet, so we still need more people to raise their game, enter the Weymouth College Mile and join us to raise plenty of cash!”
Entrants can choose their own distance challenge from one, three or six miles.
It means that everyone from small children with their mums and dads to super sprinters up against the clock can take part because there is something for everyone on the big day.
Sponsorship money raised by the event will be spent by Comic Relief to help transform lives here in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
Sport Relief has a unique history of dedicated people including this year’s Amazing Amazon Adventure by Helen Skelton.
People can enter the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile now at www.sportrelief.com.
