10th March 2010LYME REGIS: St Michael’s School’s got talent!
IT wasn’t quite the X-Factor but there was plenty of talent on show when pupils from St Michael’s Primary School in Lyme Regis staged a variety concert at the Woodmead Halls on Saturday evening.
All the pupils had to audition for their place in the line-up in front of a panel of judges, similar to the television talent shows.
The result was a variety of entertainment, including dance, a saxophone solo, singing, clarinet duo, poetry reading and a cornet solo.
The year six drama group also performed and all the pupils joined in the finale.
The evening was compered by headmaster Chris Tozer who amused a packed audience with his excruciating jokes. The pupils taking part were: Izabella Brown, Jagen Burke, Bobby Cliff, Megan Dixon, Kelsey Ellis, Harriet Gibbs, Tom Gillespie, Georgie Harwood, Emily Jones, Ryan King, James Larcombe, Carrie Lewis, Paige Machin, Nicole Moore, Imogen Payne, Bethan Paterson, Jack Ratcliff, Lucy Ratcliff, Chloe Rattenbury, Jemima Sawyer, Alisha Studley, Florence Swan, Christina Tarrant, Tyler Wellman, Lucy Warren, Aurelia Welch and Courtney Wilbor.
Helpers included: Mr Nick Kiddle (music), Jane Tapin and Sue Wiscombe (back stage), Tanya Rattenbury and Michaela Ellis (front of house), Daphne Baker, Eileen Winterbourne and Betty Wood (refreshments).
