YOUNG people in Lyme Regis are being encouraged to shape the future on their town.
They have been invited to the Marine Theatre on Thursday, March 18th between 4pm and 6pm to find out what facilities are available for young people in Lyme Regis, advice for young people and projects planned for the future.
LymeForward will be hosting the event to give young people access to experts and information on subjects that may be of use to them.
There will be a number of professionals at the event including Connexions, West Dorset District Coucils, Dorset Youth Association, Community Learning Advisors, Sure Start and Dorset Police.
There will also be anopportunity to win a £100 Argos voucher for any young attendee up to the age of 25 who enters their name in the prize draw.
West Dorset District Council will be consulting on the first draft of their Community Plan, which will outline their future objectives for the next 10 years, and look forward to receiving the input of the young people and parents in Lyme Regis.
LymeForward will also be showing what actions have been taken during the year towards achieving the objectives of the Community Plan, and asking for your comments on proposed activities for 2010/11.
