A PAINTING was handed over to Beaminster’s town council during a Gallic flavoured fundraising dinner.
Members of the Twinning Association presented the picture of its French twin, during the dinner in the Skyrm Rooms, which raised over £100.
Councillors Rosemary Beeny and Councillor Anthony Armstrong accepted the image of St James, titled “La Haie Deferre”, which will now be hung in the rooms as a reminder of the town’s cultural link.
Chair of the twinning Association, Margaret Greenham, said: “This was a fundraising event but also a chance for people to get together for a social event.
“Myself and the committee were very pleased with the event.”
