13th January 2010WEYMOUTH: Family fun returns
A SATURDAY morning club for dads and their children returns by popular demand this month at Weymouth Library.
Fantastic Family Fun, which features songs, stories and craft activities, will be held between 10.30-11.30am at the library in Great George Street on Saturday, January 30th.
Events in October and November were so successful that three more sessions have been arranged to start 2010, each with a different theme.
The January 30th theme will be Winter and it will be followed by the Jungle and Wild Things on February 27th and Spring on March 27th.
Sessions have been designed especially for the under-fives and their dads but mums and other family members are welcome to come along and join in the fun too.
Families can drop in anytime during the one-hour session which is free to attend and run by the library and Mulberry Children’s Centre staff.
Weymouth Library manager Marie Trevett said: “Fantastic Family Fun is a golden opportunity for dads and their children to grab some quality time together and enjoy themselves in a safe environment.
“It’s also a great chance to explore what else the library has to offer, including a huge area just for children, as well as DVDs, CDs, computers, newspapers and magazines for other visitors.”
The library runs half-hour Storytime sessions on Saturday mornings when Fantastic Family Fun is not on, as well as many other events and activities for all ages.
