THE children of Hemyock Primary School choir and orchestra performed a mini Christmas concert at Dobles Garage.
Parents, friends and villagers turned out to hear the children perform and sing carols around the tree.
The event, which was organised by garage owners David and Paul Graham, saw children perform traditional carols and festive songs before they were given the honour of switching on the Christmas lights.
David and Paul have held the event for the past couple of years but this was the first year they have decided to raise money for charity.
A collection was held for Children’s Hospice South West and CLIC Sergeant.
Many villagers turned out to the event including members of the Hemyock Party Club who decorate the village hall for Christmas . They attended the event as a way of thanking David and Paul for donating the village hall Christmas tree each year.
